Top Developers Vie for MHADA's Mega Mumbai Redevelopment Projects
The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has seen strong interest from top developers for three major cluster redevelopment projects in Mumbai. Tenders for these projects were first announced on April 8, 2026, with bids closing on May 18, 2026. The technical evaluation of submissions began shortly after, with bids officially opened on May 20, 2026. MHADA invited bids for the redevelopment of Adarsh Nagar-Worli, Bandra Reclamation, and SVP Nagar in Andheri (West). Leading firms competed for each site, with Adani Properties, Lodha Developers, and JSW Realty submitting technical bids for both the Adarsh Nagar-Worli and Bandra Reclamation projects. For the SVP Nagar project, Reliance 4IR Realty joined Adani Properties and Hanura Realty in the bidding process.
The authority will now assess each bidder’s technical qualifications, focusing on past experience, financial strength, and eligibility. Once this stage is complete, financial bids from shortlisted developers will be reviewed. The most competitive proposal will secure the contract for each redevelopment cluster. The projects aim to transform living conditions for residents by introducing modern infrastructure and high-quality amenities. MHADA expects the redeveloped clusters to set new standards in urban housing across Mumbai.
The selection process will move forward after technical evaluations are finalised. Successful developers will then be chosen based on their financial offers. Once completed, the redevelopment schemes will bring upgraded facilities and improved housing to thousands of residents in these key Mumbai locations.
