WPG Expands in Malaysia: Cheang & Ariff Joins Regional Legal Network
WongPartnership's regional legal network, WPG, has expanded in Malaysia with the addition of Cheang & Ariff, a prominent law firm with a strong focus on conflict resolution. This marks the second Malaysian firm to join WPG, creating a powerful alliance within the country.
Cheang & Ariff, established in 1986, brings a wealth of expertise to WPG. With over 55 lawyers, including 24 partners, the firm is renowned for its work in corporate, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property matters. Their conflict resolution focus will complement the existing strengths of WongPartnership and Foong & Partners, WPG's other Malaysian member.
The alliance will provide clients with greater local insight and more seamless cross-border advice, as Ng Wai King, chairman and senior partner of WongPartnership, noted. This dual-firm Malaysian alliance within WPG combines complementary strengths across corporate, financial services, and conflict resolution practices, further bolstering WPG's presence in the region. WPG's network now spans markets including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and the UAE.
Cheang & Ariff's addition to WPG creates a robust Malaysian alliance, offering clients enhanced local expertise and streamlined cross-border legal services. With this expansion, WPG continues to strengthen its regional presence and commitment to providing top-tier legal services.
