VinFast Launches Electric SUVs VF 6 & VF 7 for Indian Roads
VinFast, a Vietnamese electric vehicle company, has launched two electric SUVs, VF 6 and VF 7, specifically designed for Indian roads and families. Manufactured in a state-of-the-art facility in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, these vehicles cater to the growing demand for electric cars in India, with sales increasing by 53 percent in the first half of 2025.
Indian buyers are now prioritizing quality, features, and connected services over price, with 88 percent willing to share personal data for improved services and 62 percent ranking these factors above price. The in-car experience is also crucial, with buyers expecting intuitive navigation, assistance systems, and clean cabins.
The VF 6 and VF 7 offer impressive features to meet these demands. They boast quick charging capabilities, with a 10 to 70 percent charge in roughly 25 minutes, and certified ranges of up to 468 km and 532 km respectively. Safety is ensured with Advanced Driver Assistance at Level 2, 360-degree surround view, and automatic emergency braking. Inside, a 12.9-inch infotainment display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and comfort features like ventilated seats and panoramic glass roofs enhance the driving experience.
These SUVs aim to transform the perception of electric vehicles from eco gadgets to everyday companions. An Indian driver, who initially dismissed electric cars as dull, changed his opinion after experiencing a smart, connected electric SUV. With 72 percent of Indian buyers open to switching brands and 33 percent prioritizing technology and features, the VF 6 and VF 7 are well-positioned to capture the growing electric vehicle market in India.
VinFast's VF 6 and VF 7, manufactured in India, offer a premium smart experience that caters to the evolving preferences of Indian buyers. With impressive features, safety measures, and a focus on the in-car experience, these electric SUVs are poised to contribute to the growing demand for electric vehicles in the country.
