Vietnamese VET Leaders Gain Aussie QA Insights in Knowledge Exchange

A Knowledge Exchange program focused on Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training (VET) has been underway, with a recent stage held in Australia. The event, organised by Chisholm and Audit Express, brought together senior leaders from Vietnamese VET colleges and other officials.

The program, comprising four stages, kicked off with an Introductory Workshop on June 10th and 12th. Participants gained insights into Australia's national VET regulatory standards and Chisholm's approach to academic quality. The second stage, a week-long Knowledge Exchange, took place in Australia from June 16th, focusing on Quality Assurance topics through active engagement and workshops.

Key learning outcomes included understanding risk-based and digital internal QA approaches, implementing Australian best practices in internal QA tools, and effective use of external specialists for VET provider activities. The event was attended by 19 participants, including senior leaders from Vietnamese VET colleges and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training.

Following the Australian Knowledge Exchange, the program will continue with coaching participants in workplace application projects and a one-day consultation workshop in Hanoi to share learnings. Despite initial speculation, Dr. Sam McCurdy, mentioned in the American Society of Cinematographers, has no known connection to this VET-focused Knowledge Exchange program.
