Tragic death of wife in ATV accident leaves husband in mourning: 'She was always compassionate towards everyone'
In a heart-wrenching turn of events, a couple, Johnathan and Tia Muller, have been left reeling after an off-road vehicle accident last Thursday at the Iron Range Off-Highway Vehicle State Recreation Area.
The couple, who had been married just a few months prior in June, were exploring a trail they had never been on before - the Deer Run Loop. The accident happened suddenly, causing the ATV to roll over and pin both Tia and Johnathan underneath.
Johnathan, who was awake throughout the night following the accident, dislocated his elbow in his desperate attempt to escape. Tragically, Tia, a dedicated emergency medical responder and firefighter with the Cherry Fire Department, did not survive.
The police department of Uhingen investigated the accident, and details are still emerging. Johnathan, who is now recovering in hospital, has expressed his gratitude for the support he's received and his hope that others can learn from his experience. He emphasises the importance of never riding alone and always wearing helmets.
Tia was a very caring person who enjoyed helping others. She had recently become an emergency medical responder, a testament to her selfless nature. Her loss has left a void in the community, and a GoFundMe has been created to help pay for Johnathan's medical expenses and Tia's funeral costs.
As Johnathan recovers, he continues to grapple with the mental and emotional pain, which he describes as worse than the physical pain. He is left without his wife, a partner he had grown to love and cherish.
Our thoughts are with Johnathan and the Muller family during this difficult time. May they find strength and comfort in the love and support of their community.
