Rescued Pony Undergoes Surgery After Owner Neglect
A pony in need of care has been seized by authorities in Grugliasco. The animal was found with a joint issue in its right front leg, causing mobility difficulties and general health decline. It is now under judicial custody at the Universitary Veterinary Clinic of Grugliasco.
The pony's owner had previously been advised by veterinarians on proper care, but failed to provide adequate treatment. As a result, the property has been reported to the Judicial Authority for suspected animal cruelty. The Carabinieri Forestali and ASL veterinarians rescued the pony and performed a surgical intervention to address the joint alteration. Following the intervention, the pony will be cared for and rehabilitated by the Carabinieri Forestali of Nizza Monferrato and the ASL veterinarians. Enpa will assist in finding a suitable structure for the pony's future rehabilitation.
The pony, now under judicial custody, is receiving necessary care and rehabilitation. Authorities are investigating suspected animal cruelty by the owner. The pony's future is being secured with plans for long-term care and rehabilitation.
