Nizhny Novgorod smashes road repair targets with 745 km upgraded in 2025
The Nizhny Novgorod Region has completed extensive road repairs in 2025, far exceeding initial targets. Officials announced the results at a year-end meeting on December 22, revealing a significant rise in maintenance work compared to the previous year.
Under the national Infrastructure for Life project, the region repaired over 745 kilometers of roads. This figure surpasses the original plan of 626 kilometers by 19%. The scale of work also marks a 60% increase from 2024's repairs.
Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin oversees the Infrastructure for Life initiative. Earlier in December, he outlined priorities for developing cities along the Northern Sea Route as part of the same program.
The expanded repairs reflect a major push to improve regional transport networks. With 745 kilometers upgraded, the project has delivered more than expected. The results were formally presented by the regional government on December 22.
