Leonardo DiCaprio Buys Historic Cape Cod Home Once Rented by Judy Garland & Liza Minnelli

A historic Cape Cod home, once rented by Hollywood legends Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli, has been purchased by actor Leonardo DiCaprio. The 1890-built, 5,000-square-foot home in Hyannis Port hit the market for $6.8 million.

The seven-bedroom, four-and-a-half bath home offers stunning views of the harbor and Nantucket Sound. It was built in 1890 and last sold in 1990. Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli rented the home in the 1960s when Liza was a teenager.

Garland, known for her iconic roles in 'The Wizard of Oz' and 'Meet Me in St. Louis', passed away in 1969 at the age of 47 from an accidental barbiturate overdose. Liza Minnelli, then 23, had appeared alongside her mother in the 1949 musical 'In the Good Old Summertime' as a toddler. Garland and Vincente Minnelli, Liza's father, had worked together on 'Meet Me in St. Louis' and married in 1945.

DiCaprio, known for his roles in 'Titanic' and 'The Revenant', has bought the historic home. The property's rich history and stunning views likely attracted the actor to the property.
