Left Party to Expose Rent-Gouging in Mainz and Ludwigshafen - Left Party Launches Rent Check App in Mainz and Ludwigshafen

The Left Party's federal parliamentary group has launched a mobile app in Mainz and Ludwigshafen, aiming to help tenants check their rent prices. This move is part of the party's state election campaign, with the goal of entering the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament on March 22.

The app, now available in 14 cities nationwide, has already reviewed over 135,000 rental cost cases this year. It allows citizens to check if their rents are too high or illegal, and if they could potentially be reduced. Rebecca Ruppert, the state chairwoman of the Left Party, has made the issue of rent prices a key focus of the campaign. The party hopes to overcome the five-percent hurdle and secure a place in the state parliament.

The Left Party's app is now a useful tool for tenants in Mainz and Ludwigshafen, providing a means to assess their rental costs. With the state election approaching, the party continues to emphasize the importance of affordable housing, aiming to make a significant impact in the Rhineland-Palatinate region.
