Kempower Opens Second Malmö EV Charging Station, Eyes European Expansion

Kempower, a Finnish company listed on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market, has inaugurated another electric vehicle charging station, Rifil, near Malmö, Sweden. This station caters to both trucks and eCars, and is part of the Falkenklev Logistik charging network. The company aims for rapid expansion within Europe.

The Rifil charging station, inaugurated in December 2023, is the second of its kind in Malmö. The first, opened in 2022, was the largest in Sweden with 22 Kempower Satellite charging points. Kempower's expansion plans were discussed by Guillermo López Arias, Head of Sales Iberia & Latam, in an interview with Mobility Portal Group. The company is also developing the Megawatt Charging System (MCS) for heavy transport, with the first prototypes expected in early 2024.

Kempower's latest project involves signing an agreement with MINUSINES S.A. in Luxembourg, valued at over €2.5 million, to deliver fast DC charging technology. The company is actively identifying other cities and countries for expansion, with the goal of catering to the growing demand for electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

With a focus on heavy transport and public transportation, Kempower is poised for growth, as evidenced by its recent agreement with MINUSINES S.A. in Luxembourg. The company's Megawatt Charging System for heavy transport is also nearing completion, further solidifying Kempower's position as a leader in the electric vehicle charging industry.
