Kempower Expands Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Across Europe

Finnish company Kempower, listed on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market Finland, has been expanding its electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The company recently inaugurated the Rifil charging station near Malmö, Sweden, catering to both trucks and eCars, and is part of the Falkenklev Logistik network.

Kempower's growth is evident in its projects. In 2022, it opened the largest charging station in Sweden at Malmö, equipped with 22 Kempower Satellite charging points. The company has also electrified public transport, powering around 95 buses in Malmö and 121 buses in Denmark.

Guillermo López Arias, Head of Sales Iberia & Latam at Kempower, discussed the company's expansion plans in an interview with Mobility Portal Group. Kempower aims for rapid expansion within Europe, with the final stages of its new Megawatt Charging System (MCS) for heavy transport underway. The first prototypes are expected in early 2024.

Kempower's reach extends beyond Sweden. It has signed an agreement in Luxembourg to deliver fast DC charging technology to MINUSINES S.A., valued at over 2.5 million euros. The company is actively identifying other cities and countries for expansion.

Kempower's success in electrifying public transport and opening charging stations positions it well for future growth. With the Megawatt Charging System in development and expansion plans in Europe, Kempower is set to play a significant role in the continent's electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
