Jolt Brings AutoCharge to Europe, Revolutionizing EV Charging

Australian electric vehicle (EV) charging network operator Jolt is expanding its services across Europe. The company plans to introduce AutoCharge, its automatic charging system, in the UK, Germany, France, and the Netherlands in the coming months. Currently, AutoCharge is available for Jolt Plus subscribers in Australia and New Zealand.

AutoCharge allows drivers to simply plug in their EVs without needing to activate or pay for a charge. The system securely recognises the vehicle and initiates charging automatically. Each fast charger can provide up to 45 kilometres of charge in just 15 minutes, offering up to 7 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of free charging per day, powered by 100% renewable energy.

Jolt funds this free charging through digital advertising screens on the chargers. The company aims to make EV charging convenient and cost-effective. Jolt Plus drivers in Australia and New Zealand have already benefited from AutoCharge, and now European drivers can look forward to the same experience.

Jolt's AutoCharge is set to revolutionise EV charging in Europe. With its automatic charging feature and free, renewable energy-powered charging, it promises to make refuelling EVs as simple and convenient as possible. The rollout in the UK, Germany, France, and the Netherlands is expected in the coming months, with other markets, including Canada, planned for the future.
