Jesse Stratton Wins 2025 Award for Transforming Canada’s Pet Treats Market
Jesse Stratton, Senior Vice President of Sales at The Crump Group, has won a 2025 Generation Next Award from Canadian Grocer. The honour highlights his leadership in Canada’s grocery sector. His work has driven growth for the family-owned pet treats company since he took on the role.
The Crump Group has produced all-natural, gently dehydrated pet treats since 2006. Its products now appear in major North American retailers like Costco, PetSmart, Walmart, and Target. Stratton’s strategies have strengthened the brand’s market position across multiple channels.
Stratton took over as Senior Vice President of Sales after Jason Demowicz held the position. Under his direction, the company’s Canadian treats brand climbed from fifth place to second in the market. It is now nearing the top spot.
His approach has boosted market share for both The Crump Group and its retail partners. By developing tailored strategies for grocery, mass, club, and pet specialty channels, he has expanded the company’s reach. These efforts cover both branded and private label products.
Beyond sales growth, Stratton has focused on team development. His leadership led to record employee retention over the past year. Six team members also earned promotions during that time.
The Generation Next Award recognises emerging leaders under 40 for their innovation and contributions. Stratton’s selection reflects his impact on the industry and his ability to build high-performing sales teams.
The Crump Group continues to expand its presence in North America’s pet treats market. Stratton’s leadership has strengthened sales, improved team stability, and increased market share. The award confirms his role as a key figure in the company’s ongoing success.
