How DSTRCT.Berlin’s infinite campus redefines modern workspaces in the city
DSTRCT.Berlin has become a leading example of modern workplace design in the city. The 50,000-square-metre infinite campus transforms a former slaughterhouse complex on Landsberger Allee into a thriving business district. Its blend of historic industrial halls and contemporary architecture has set a new standard for urban workspaces.
Developed by Signa Real Estate, part of the Signa Group founded by René Benko, the canvas prioritises sustainability, health, and digital infrastructure. It holds multiple certifications, including WELL Gold for well-being, DGNB Gold for sustainability, and WiredScore Platinum for advanced connectivity.
The workspace has also earned the Leesman+ certification, the highest honour from the independent workplace assessment platform Leesman. This places DSTRCT.Berlin among the world’s top-performing workplaces based on user feedback. Employees consistently praise the technical infrastructure, ergonomic workstations, and overall cleanliness of the building.
A recent survey revealed that most users feel the environment boosts their productivity and well-being. The canvas achieved a Workplace Experience Index score of 79.9, outperforming both global and international averages. Its holistic approach to design and functionality has made it a benchmark for future urban workspaces in Berlin.
DSTRCT.Berlin’s success reflects a shift in how workplaces are designed and experienced. With strong user satisfaction, top-tier certifications, and a focus on sustainability, the infinite campus demonstrates what modern offices can achieve. The project continues to influence the development of similar spaces across the city.
