Frenos Launches Free AI Tool to Test OT Cybersecurity Defenses

Frenos has unveiled a new tool to help organisations test their defences in critical infrastructure and operational technology (OT) environments. The Mythos Readiness Assessment offers a free The assessment works by creating a cyber digital twin of an organisation’s OT setup. Using existing network and security data, it builds a virtual copy without needing scans or installed agents. An AI reasoning agent then maps out possible attack paths, showing how a real-world adversary might move through the system.

At the recent S4x26 POC Pavilion, Frenos demonstrated the platform’s speed by running 154,000 OT attack simulations in just over 17 minutes. The test also confirmed 18 realistic attack routes from compromised networks into critical zones controlled by Rockwell and Siemens systems. Participants leave with a prioritised list of attack paths, including the specific tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) an attacker might use, along with recommended fixes. The results come with a Mythos Readiness Scorecard, designed for review by boards, auditors, and regulators. Frenos is offering the assessment for free to support the OT security community in quickly spotting and addressing weaknesses.

Organisations using the Mythos Readiness Assessment gain a clear view of their most urgent security risks. The tool provides actionable insights, from ranked attack paths to mitigation steps, all without disrupting operations. The free, one-day test is now available for critical infrastructure and OT security teams looking to strengthen their defences.
