Ex-AFL star’s $200M Gold Coast mansion heads to auction—with a Brad Pitt twist

A former AFL star, Brad Moran, is parting ways with his Gold Coast mega mansion, a property worth over $200 million. The lavish home, set to be auctioned on November 28, is currently the most expensive in Australia, far surpassing the current record of $42 million.

Moran, who played 21 AFL games before retiring due to injury, has significantly increased his net worth since leaving the sport. In 2021, he sold his software company, CitrusAd, to Publicis Groupe for a staggering $205 million. It was this sale that funded the development of the Gold Coast mansion.

The 8888-square-metre property is zoned into three wings, catering for multiple generations. It boasts 10 bedrooms, a private fun park, and a Manhattan-inspired whisky bar. The property also includes a private cinema, soundproof poker room, go-kart track, basketball court, golf driving range, infinity pool, wellness wing, and a glass-fronted nine-car gallery with an integrated turntable. Moran and his wife Alicia bought the property for $7 million in 2021 and spent four years renovating it.

The luxury real estate agent Kollosche is representing the property, likening it to one seen in a Brad Pitt movie.

Brad Moran's Gold Coast mega mansion, a testament to his entrepreneurial success, is set to break Queensland's property price record. The auction on November 28 will determine the final price of this extraordinary residence.
