Dubai’s d3 Unveils Ambitious 18M Sq Ft Expansion with Luxury Waterfront Living
Dubai Design District (d3) is set to expand with a new 18 million sq ft master plan. The development will add luxury homes, creative workspaces, and waterfront living along Dubai Creek. Developer Meraas has announced The Edit, a three-tower residential project, as the centrepiece of this growth.
The latest phase of d3 was revealed on 5 January 2026. At its core is The Edit, a trio of high-rise towers offering 392 to 557 units. Residents will choose from one- to five-bedroom apartments, all with direct views of Dubai Creek, passing dhows, and the nearby Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary.
The district is being shaped as a hub for design, art, fashion, and innovation. Its location along the historic creek and proximity to key business areas strengthen its appeal. Dubai Holding reports strong demand for The Edit and earlier d3 projects, driven by the area’s lifestyle, design, and waterfront setting. Beyond housing, the expansion aims to create a self-contained destination. Plans include spaces for work, innovation, relaxation, and wellness. However, Dubai Holding has not set a fixed completion date, emphasising quality over speed in delivering the full master plan.
The Edit will anchor d3’s growth, offering high-end living with creek and sanctuary views. The district’s broader vision combines residences, studios, and leisure in one integrated space. Developers are moving forward without rushing, focusing on long-term execution rather than deadlines.
