Diane Keaton’s £27M Los Angeles mansion returns with timeless grandeur
Diane Keaton’s former Los Angeles mansion has returned to the market for around £27 million. The grand Spanish Colonial home sits in the exclusive Sullivan Canyon area, known for its privacy and equestrian charm. Keaton once called it one of the few places she found flawless.
The 9,200-square-foot residence underwent an extensive eight-year renovation between 2010 and 2018. Architect Barbara Bestor led the project, transforming it into what agents now describe as a 'rare architectural masterpiece'. Keaton herself documented her love for the property in her 2017 book, The House That Pinterest Built.
Inside, the home features a striking black-and-white colour scheme. Reclaimed materials and priceless decorative pieces fill the space, adding character. Outside, a pool, wine storage, multiple fireplaces, and skylights near the kitchen enhance its luxury appeal.
The mansion was briefly taken off the market after Keaton’s death on 11 October 2022. Now, it’s back—offering panoramic views of Los Angeles and the seclusion of Sullivan Canyon’s elite equestrian enclave.
The property stands as a testament to Keaton’s vision and Bestor’s craftsmanship. Its blend of historic charm and modern luxury makes it a standout listing in one of LA’s most sought-after neighbourhoods. The £27 million price reflects both its grandeur and its unique place in the city’s architectural history.
