Detailed Account of the 36 Million Dollar Apartment Provided by Deputy
Deputy Vasilii Nikolaev of the State Assembly of the Il Tumen has been making headlines in recent days due to his acquisition of an apartment in Moscow. The apartment, located on Michurinsky Prospekt, was purchased by Nikolaev back in 2016 for 4.5 million rubles, but its current value in 2022 remains undisclosed.
The apartment, spanning 36 square meters, is a 4-room apartment. In a social media post, Nikolaev shared a photo of the apartment, stating that he bought it as an investment for his children. One of his sons is already living in one of the apartments.
Nikolaev, an entrepreneur by profession, involved in real estate, engineering design, and construction, believes that the high price of a square meter in Moscow offers much more in terms of infrastructure and materials compared to Yakutsk. He attributes the high cost of housing in Yakutsk to the Far Eastern mortgage.
Interestingly, Nikolaev does not receive a salary from the budget as he is a deputy of the Il Tumen on a voluntary basis. He visited the developer to consult and learn about construction issues in Moscow.
Nikolaev's declaration of asset ownership was made when he ran for the State Duma in 2021. He owns two apartments in Moscow, each with a size of 36 square meters. Despite not residing in the apartments, Nikolaev believes that housing in Yakutsk is excessively expensive.
In a recent statement, Nikolaev commented on the price of a square meter for the apartment, which is estimated to be between 300-350 thousand rubles. He believes that this price is justifiable given the benefits that come with living in Moscow, such as advanced infrastructure and amenities.
This news has sparked conversations about the affordability of housing in both Moscow and Yakutsk, with many questioning the gap between the two cities' housing prices. As the story unfolds, more insights are expected to emerge about Nikolaev's real estate investments and his views on housing affordability in Russia.
