Australia’s elite reshuffle luxury homes in multi-million-dollar property spree
Several high-profile Australians have made major property moves in recent months. From multi-million-dollar purchases to quiet sales, the real estate market has seen notable activity. Buyers and sellers include well-known names from sport, music, and entertainment.
In July, Jesinta and Buddy Franklin acquired a $4.6 million estate in Guanaba, within the Gold Coast Hinterland. Just months later, they sold their Gold Coast mansion, Villa Casa, in November. The property had been listed in October for $10.9 million, though the final sale price was not revealed.
Meanwhile, in Sydney, former cricketer Michael Clarke made a splash with a $20 million mansion purchase in Vaucluse. Around the same time, musician Simon Pryce bought a $5.7 million home in the city’s south-eastern suburbs. On Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, singer Tones and I secured a $6.4 million rural estate in December. Earlier in the year, Rebecca and Chris Judd sold their property in the same region for between $2.85 million and $3 million. In Sydney, Rebel Wilson also offloaded an investment property in Balmain in September, though the sale amount remained undisclosed.
The transactions highlight ongoing movement in Australia’s luxury property market. While some deals fetch eye-watering sums, others remain private, with undisclosed figures. The trend reflects a mix of high-value acquisitions and strategic sales among prominent figures.
