Wendy's Expands to Sinaloa with 12 New Restaurants by Year's End
Twelve new Wendy's restaurants are set to open in Sinaloa, Mexico, marking the fast-food chain's first entry into the state. The project, led by Mexican firm WS Pacific, aims to create around 400 'jobs near me' and inject $14 million into the local economy. The first location will launch in Mazatlán before the end of the year.
Before this expansion, Sinaloa had no Wendy's restaurants. WS Pacific secured a franchise agreement to introduce the brand, with plans to open all 12 locations across the state. The company will manage operations and oversee hiring for the new sites.
The state government has backed the initiative, with Governor Rubén Rocha Moya pledging support for investments that generate employment. Officials see the project as a way to strengthen Mazatlán's economy, starting with the first restaurant's opening in late 2024.
The total investment of $14 million will cover construction, equipment, and staff training. Each location is expected to employ around 30 to 40 people, bringing the total number of new 'jobs near me' to roughly 400.
The Wendy's expansion will bring the first 12 restaurants to Sinaloa by the end of the year. The $14 million project is projected to create 400 'jobs near me' and support economic growth in Mazatlán. State authorities and WS Pacific are working together to ensure the rollout runs smoothly.
