Trump Hotel to become tallest building in Australia - Trump's A$1.5B Gold Coast Tower to Become Australia's Tallest Building

A new Trump-branded hotel is set to rise on Australia's Gold Coast. The project, valued at A$1.5 billion, will stand as the country's tallest building once completed. Developers have chosen a prime oceanfront location in Surfers Paradise for the luxury development.

The Trump International Hotel & Tower will occupy a key site on Trickett Street, overlooking Surfers Paradise Beach. Plans include 270 high-end residences alongside an exclusive beach club, upscale retail outlets, and fine-dining restaurants. The 91-storey skyscraper, reaching 340 metres, will overtake the Q1 Tower as Australia's tallest structure.

Altus Property Group, the developer behind the scheme, secured the deal in 2017. CEO David Young finalised the agreement at Donald Trump's Florida residence during his presidency. Funding comes entirely from private investors based in Singapore, Hong Kong, the UAE, and the US.

This marks the only Trump Hotel currently in development outside the UAE and Maldives. The project is listed as 'coming soon' on the Trump Hotels website, though no official opening date has been announced.

The A$1.5 billion tower will transform Surfers Paradise's skyline and add a luxury destination to the Gold Coast. With private funding already secured, construction could begin once final approvals are in place. The hotel would become the first Trump-branded property in Australia upon completion.
