RH Strengthens Leadership Amid Market Challenges with Two Key Appointments
RH, the luxury home furnishings company, has made two key leadership appointments as it navigates a challenging market. Veronica Schnitzius joins as president and chief manufacturing officer, while David Stanchak returns to lead real estate and transformation efforts. The moves come as RH works to strengthen its operations amid supply chain issues and shifting economic conditions. Veronica Schnitzius brings 24 years of experience from American Leather, where she held multiple leadership roles. At RH, she will take charge of unifying the company's manufacturing under one global platform. Her appointment was welcomed by Gary Friedman, RH's chairman and CEO, who called her a valuable addition.
David Stanchak, meanwhile, returns to RH as chief real estate and transformation officer. His responsibilities include expanding the company's global real estate footprint and modernising its North American galleries. Over his career, Stanchak has managed the opening of more than 2,500 retail locations and directed over $2.5 billion in capital investments.
Friedman acknowledged the unusual housing market, supply chain pressures, and tariff concerns affecting RH's rebound. The company's furniture division accounts for 80% of its brand revenue, making operational efficiency a priority. Despite these challenges, financial analysts at RapidRatings recently rated RH as medium risk for default in their latest assessment. Schnitzius and Stanchak will play central roles in RH's next phase of growth. Their combined expertise in manufacturing and real estate aims to streamline operations and support the brand's recovery. The company continues to adapt to a complex economic landscape while maintaining its focus on luxury home furnishings.
