Recognized Leaders in Their Fields: Chambers Global Lists 33 Professionals from Gump on Their Site

Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP has once again been recognised in the 2012 edition of Chambers Global: The World's Leading Lawyers for Business. Thirty-three attorneys from the global law firm have been honoured across various categories.

In the Corporate/M&A section, Daniel G. Walsh and Alexey L. Kondratchik, Ilya M. Rybalkin, Richard J. Wilkie, Suren E. Gortsunyan, Vladimir V. Kouznetsov, and Alexander S. Trukhtanov were recognised for their work in Moscow, Russia. Walsh was also acknowledged in the Experts Based Abroad category. Dino E. Barajas was recognised in the Projects category for Latin America-wide, and in the Projects (Foreign Experts) category.

Denis Goryunov, a partner at the firm's Moscow office, was highlighted for his expertise in capital markets advising and his work with international firms beyond Russia. In the Capital Markets category, Varun Gupta was recognised for his work in Russia, and in the Capital Markets (Foreign Experts) category.

In the Bankruptcy/Restructuring category, Daniel H. Golden was recognised in New York, while Michael S. Stamer was recognised in the same category.

The Energy & Natural Resources sector saw several recognitions. Richard J. Wilkie was recognised in this area for his work in Moscow, Russia, as well as in the Energy & Natural Resources (Foreign Experts) category. Natalia R. Baratiants and Richard J. Wilkie were also recognised in the Energy & Natural Resources category for Moscow, Russia. Douglas Glass was recognised in the Energy & Natural Resources (Experts Based Abroad) category, and in the Projects (Experts Based Abroad) category. Alexander S. Trukhtanov and Richard J. Wilkie were also recognised in the Energy & Natural Resources (Foreign Experts) category.

Sebastian Rice was recognised in the Capital Markets: Equity (Foreign Experts) category for London, UK. Jonathan Ivinson was recognised in the Tax (Foreign Experts) category and the Tax (Experts Based Abroad) category.

In the Investment Funds sector, Eliot D. Raffkind was recognised in the Investment Funds: Hedge Funds category (Dallas), Stephen M. Vine in the same category (New York), and Prakash H. Mehta in the Investment Funds: Private Equity: Fund Formation category (New York).

The International Trade category saw recognitions for Edward L. Rubinoff in Washington, D.C., Spencer S. Griffith in the Asia-Pacific Region and China, and Stephen S. Kho in the International Trade category for the Asia-Pacific Region. Warren E. Connelly and Valerie A. Slater were recognised in the International Trade: Trade Remedies & Trade Policy category (Washington, D.C.).

Michael J. Brito was recognised in the Outsourcing category (Dallas), and Charles C. Adams Jr. and Michael J. Stepek were recognised in the Dispute Resolution: Arbitration Counsel category for Geneva, Switzerland.

In the Projects category, Adam S. Umanoff was recognised in Los Angeles, and Douglas Glass was recognised in the Projects (Experts Based Abroad) category. Burke A. McDavid was recognised in the Private Equity: Buyouts category and the Private Equity (Foreign Experts) category (Dallas).

The firm also announced the opening of a second Asian office in Hong Kong in February 2012.
