A prime lakeside plot in Meilen has sold for CHF 5.1 million after a competitive bidding process. The 900-square-metre site, located between Lakeshore Road and a railway line, includes a private boat mooring on Lake Zurich. The Amini Group, known for luxury residential projects, secured the land for future development.
The undeveloped hillside property was initially appraised at CHF 3.96 million, but strong interest drove the final sale price higher. Bidders competed for the site, which allows for around 450 square metres of residential construction. Its location in Meilen—one of Switzerland's most expensive areas—adds to its appeal, with average land prices at CHF 4,000 per square metre and residential property reaching CHF 16,800 per square metre.
The Amini Group specialises in high-end homes for affluent buyers. While details of their past projects in nearby Rüschlikon, Wädenswil, Kilchberg, and Thalwil remain unclear, this acquisition marks their latest investment in the exclusive 'Goldküste' region. The plot's position between a busy railway line and Lakeshore Road ensures visibility and access. Its private mooring offers direct lakefront privileges, a rare feature in the area.
