Concrete Skeletons at Kaiserlei Roundabout Disappear - Offenbach’s €500M Kaiserlei Project to Add 1,200 Rental Apartments by 2029
Offenbach is set for a major transformation with ABG's ambitious residential project at Kaiserlei. The city council has given the green light, with demolition starting in 2026 and the first residents expected by 2029. Frankfurt's AS+P is leading the architectural plans.
The project involves the redevelopment of the long-abandoned concrete structures between Frankfurt and Offenbach, acquired by ABG from the Adler Group. ABG plans to invest over €500 million to build 1,200 rental apartments, covering a gross floor area of 1.3 million square feet.
ABG managing director Frank Junker sees this acquisition as the starting point for creating a vibrant, mixed-use community in Offenbach. The development will include social and commercial infrastructure, transforming the area into a livable residential district.
The Kaiserlei project, with its 1,200 rental apartments and extensive infrastructure, is poised to reshape Offenbach. Demolition begins in 2026, with the first residents expected by 2029. The city council's approval and ABG's investment signal a significant step towards urban renewal.
