Monument Mining bets big on Selinsing gold mine's strategic expansion

Monument Mining is focusing on controlled production and reinvesting profits into exploration. The company's main priority is expanding the Selinsing gold mine in Malaysia, a project vital for its future growth. With a debt-free balance sheet, the firm is carefully managing its finances while pushing ahead with key drilling programs.

The Selinsing gold mine in Pahang state remains the centre of Monument Mining's operations. Current work includes the Buffalo Reef exploration drilling, set to finish by March 2026. This phase is essential before moving to the next stages of expansion at Selinsing.

Phases 1 and 2 of the Selinsing expansion drilling will begin immediately after Buffalo Reef wraps up. Successful results could boost inferred mineral resources and extend the mine's operational life. The company is also conducting drilling at Felda, another project linked to Selinsing's growth.

Beyond Malaysia, Monument Mining is exploring opportunities in Southeast Asia and Australia. These efforts aim to secure stable production for years to come. The focus remains on discovery-led growth, ensuring the Selinsing mine stays productive for longer.

The expansion of Selinsing is expected to raise the mine's resource estimates and prolong its lifespan. With no debt and careful spending, Monument Mining is positioning itself for steady growth. The outcome of the drilling programs will shape the company's production capacity in the coming years.
