Indonesia's Stock Market Surges 1.69% in Strong February Session

Indonesia's Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) rose sharply on February 11, 2026, closing at 8,269.246. This marked a gain of 137.508 points, or 1.69%, from the previous session's close of 8,131.738. The strong performance reflected sustained buying interest throughout the day.

Trading began on a positive note, with the JCI opening at 8,152.785—slightly above the prior close. Early in the session, the index dipped to a low of 8,118.163 before steadily climbing. By mid-morning, a run of green candles emerged, signalling buyer dominance that lasted until near the closing bell.

The JCI reached an intraday high of 8,282.798, closing just below this peak at 8,269.246. This placed the index near the upper end of its daily range. Compared to its 52-week span of 5,882.605 to 9,174.474, the current level remains well above the lower bound but still below its all-time high.

While the broader trend stays bullish, the index's position in the upper tier of its annual band suggests traders may need to watch for potential volatility ahead.

The JCI's 1.69% gain on February 11, 2026, reinforced its upward momentum. With the index trading near the top of its recent range, market participants will likely monitor whether this strength continues or if resistance levels trigger pullbacks. The session's strong buyer activity points to ongoing confidence in Indonesian equities.
