Gimv Acquires Novicare: Boost for Medical & Geriatric Services

Belgium-based private equity firm Gimv is set to acquire a majority stake in Netherlands-based Novicare, a specialist in medical and geriatric services. The deal sees Gimv taking over from Gilde Healthcare, another specialist investor in the healthcare sector.

Novicare was established in 2008 and has since grown under the leadership of its founder, Claus Bræstrup. The company offers a range of specialized medical and paramedical services, catering to the unique needs of elderly patients.

The acquisition by Gimv, a leading player in the European private equity landscape, is expected to provide Novicare with additional resources to expand its services and reach. Gilde Healthcare, which has been a significant investor in Novicare, has decided to sell its stake to Gimv, marking a shift in the company's investment portfolio.

The acquisition of Novicare by Gimv is set to strengthen the company's position in the specialized medical and geriatric services sector. With Gimv's backing, Novicare looks poised to continue its growth trajectory, building on the foundation laid by its founder, Claus Bræstrup, and expanding its services to benefit more patients.
