Shary Reeves, host of the popular science show Wissen macht Ah!, has been named the new ambassador for the charity Staplercup hilft e.V. She will help raise funds for the German Childhood Cancer Foundation (Deutsche Kinderkrebshilfe) by participating in the "Celebrity Cup" at the 2013 Staplercup on September 21.

Founded in 2008, Staplercup hilft e.V. supports charitable causes alongside the German Forklift Championship, blending competitive sport with philanthropy. Reeves has already served as an ambassador for the German Childhood Cancer Foundation for the past decade.

The Staplercup, organized by forklift manufacturer Linde Material Handling, will take place for the ninth time on the palace square in Aschaffenburg. Around 150 forklift drivers from around the world will compete for titles such as "German Forklift Champion," "International Champion," and "Corporate Team Champion." In the lighthearted "Celebrity Cup" event, stars and prominent guests will go head-to-head while promoting a good cause.

Established in 1996, the German Childhood Cancer Foundation funds projects including the expansion of pediatric cancer centers, the development of new therapies, and the creation of family accommodations near hospitals. The foundation supports nearly all ongoing pediatric cancer treatment studies in Germany, relying entirely on public donations with no government funding.
