Trilegal Strengthens its Corporate Practice with Three New Partners
Trilegal, one of India's leading full-service law firms, has strengthened its corporate practice with the addition of three new partners. The new partners, Abhishek Guha, Tanya Uppal, and Mahesh Wasadikar, join from Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas.
Abhishek Guha, with nearly two decades of experience, specializes in private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic corporate advisory. He holds an LLB from the National University of Juridical Sciences and has previously worked at Altavista Law before joining Trilegal.
Tanya Uppal, another new partner, is a private equity and M&A practitioner with experience advising global investors, sovereign wealth funds, and corporates on cross-border investments, acquisitions, and exits. She holds a BA LLB from Amity University.
Mahesh Wasadikar, the third new partner, specializes in private equity, M&A, and corporate restructuring. He holds an LLB from Rizvi Law College.
The three new partners bring extensive experience across private equity sponsors, pension funds, investment banks, technology companies, pharmaceutical majors, industrial and manufacturing businesses, and other large corporate groups.
Trilegal's equity partnership now consists of 146 partners, with over 140 professionals across offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Gurugram. The firm advises a diverse clientele that includes Fortune 500 companies, global investment funds, major Indian conglomerates, domestic and international banks, technology and media giants, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.
Veritas Legal, founded in 2015 in Mumbai, specializes in M&A, PE, disputes, and white-collar crime. Veritas announced the elevation of Zenia Cassinath as partner earlier this year. Zenia Cassinath has been with Veritas for nearly a decade and specializes in antitrust and competition law. She has represented both domestic and international clients before the Competition Commission of India on matters related to merger control and behavioural competition.
With these new additions, Trilegal continues to expand its capabilities and provide top-tier legal services to its clients. The firm's corporate practice now comprises more than 55 partners, positioning it as a formidable force in the Indian legal market.
