Chaevi's $5.5M Deal Powers Dubai's EV Charging Network Expansion

South Korean EV charger manufacturer Chaevi has signed a new deal to expand its presence in the Middle East. The company will team up with Emirates Electrical Engineering LLC to build a charging network across Dubai. The agreement is worth US$ 5.5 million and covers the installation of 1,000 chargers over two years. Chaevi will provide a variety of chargers, ranging from 11 kW to 100 kW, for key locations in Dubai. The partnership involves Emirates Electrical Engineering LLC, part of the Al Rostamani Group—the only private UAE firm holding a CPO business licence.

This latest move follows Chaevi's global expansion plans. The company has already installed around 10,500 charging points worldwide, including 5,910 under its own operation. It also manages chargers for South Korea's Ministry of Environment. Beyond the UAE, Chaevi is targeting growth in North America, North Africa, and Europe. Recent deals include an entry into California, alongside its existing stronghold in South Korea, where it has deployed 10,000 chargers. The firm is also preparing for an IPO on South Korea's Kosdaq stock exchange.

The Dubai project marks another step in Chaevi's international expansion. With 1,000 new chargers set for installation, the company will strengthen its footprint in the Middle East. The deal also supports Dubai's push for wider EV adoption and charging infrastructure.
