Capella Minerals kicks off gold exploration in Finland's Lapland Belt

Capella Minerals Ltd. has launched new exploration work in Finland's Central Lapland Greenstone Belt. The company is now running geochemical sampling at its Seisunselkä and Jolhikko gold targets. These programmes mark the start of a broader push to assess multiple gold prospects in the region by 2026. The current work involves Base of Till (BoT) sampling at both Seisunselkä and Jolhikko. At Seisunselkä, the focus is on orogenic-style gold linked to northeast-trending fault and shear zones. Jolhikko, meanwhile, targets similar mineralisation within a complex zone of intense folding and faulting.

Fieldwork is fully funded under an earn-in agreement with Tümad Madencilik Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S. Sampling should finish by mid-April, with lab results due in late May. Capella also plans diamond drilling at four additional gold targets in the same region before the end of 2026.

Beyond Finland, the company has signed a separate deal with Verde Metals. This agreement covers an earn-in on the Solana Iron-Oxide Copper-Gold project in southern Spain. Capella's President and CEO, Eric Roth, highlighted the potential for follow-up drilling if sampling uncovers promising anomalies. All technical details in the announcement were reviewed by Roth, a Qualified Person under NI 43-101. The BoT programmes form part of Capella's wider strategy to expand its gold-copper portfolio. With sampling underway and further drilling planned, the company aims to advance multiple projects across Scandinavia and Spain. Results from the current work will guide next steps in the region.
