100X.VC reveals Class 11: 17 startups poised to disrupt India's innovation scene

100X.VC has unveiled its latest group of startups, known as Class 11, at a recent event in Mumbai. The venture capital firm selected 17 companies from a pool of over 1,500 applicants. This announcement marks another step in the firm’s ongoing investment activity since its launch in 2019. The new cohort was announced by Ninad Karpe, Founder & Partner of 100X.VC, during the VC Pitch Day on June 1, 2024. Out of 307 shortlisted startups, only 17 were chosen for Class 11. These companies are spread across eight Indian cities, including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, and Pune.

The selected startups cover a range of sectors, from AI and biotech to fintech and pet care. Among them are Anyway.ai, Baylink, Deepvue.tech, EasyReplenish, and FUTR Studios. Other names include GoCodeo, Hummsa Biotech, Kroto, Openleaf, and Orbit Wallet, along with Pet Chef, Pettle, The Naturik Co, Whitetable, Zircle, and Zafo Technologies.

100X.VC operates on a class-based model, investing in startups even before each class formally begins. Since its founding in July 2019 by Sanjay Mehta, Ninad Karpe, Shashank Randev, Yagnesh Sanghrajka, and Vatsal Kanakiya, the firm has made 161 investments. It was also the first to use India SAFE Notes for early-stage funding.

The VC Pitch Day in Mumbai drew over 400 participants, including high-net-worth individuals, family offices, venture capital funds, and corporations. Mehta Ventures, the family office arm of Sanjay Mehta, supports the fund by using iSAFE notes for these early-stage investments. Class 11 brings the total number of 100X.VC’s investments to 161 since its inception. The chosen startups will now move forward with funding and mentorship under the firm’s model. This latest cohort continues the firm’s focus on early-stage innovation across India.
